Sixth grade Social Studies will focus on Geography and Ancient Civilizations by embarking on a more rigorous study of the historical foundations and principles that continue to shape our world and nation.  We will begin with a review of the major ideas and events preceding the foundation of the world. The Social Studies unit plans we will cover this school year are:  Geography and Early Humans, River Valley Civilizations, Classical Civilizations (Europe & Mesoamerica), Classical Civilizations (Africa & Asia), and Collapse/Rebirth.
